PERCY JACKSON CHARACTER INTERVIEWS NUMBER 1- PERCY

Interviewer: Hello, Percy. Do you know why you've been brought here today?

Percy: Well, I'm not sure, but the Stoll brothers tried to shove me in a sack in my sleep to get me here, so it had better be important.

Interviewer: Oh, it certainly is. We are going to ask you some questions about what it's like to be a half-blood...

Percy: Here we go...

Interviewer: ...in a relationship!

Percy: Seriously? That's what all the fuss is about?

Interviewer: So, tell me Percy, what is Annabeth really like?

Percy: What do you mean?

Interviewer: What is she like when it's just you and her? Is she really as brilliant as everyone claims?

Percy: She makes everyone look dumb. Not really on purpose, it's just how she is. Like, math problems that it would take me three days to solve, she can solve in three minutes in her head. She's brilliant.

Interviewer: How long did you have a crush on her before the Titan war?

Percy: Ooh, that's a tough one. I guess I'd have to say it started the first time I saw her. I know, that sounds cliche, but it's really true. I remember exactly what she looked like that day. We had our ups and downs after that, but finally she fell for me, too.

Interviewer: That's so cute! When do you think she fell in love with you?

Percy: I really couldn't say. I mean, there were random small kisses on the cheek every now and then, but judging from how many times she got mad at me, I'm not sure. Well, she still gets mad at me all the time, but I guess that's normal.

Interviewer: What little habits of hers are you're favorites?

Percy: It's really just the little things. Like how every time she's irritated when she's talking to someone, she tenses up and keeps tucking her hair behind her ears over and over again. It's kind of entertaining to watch, even though it's usually me she's irritated with. Or when she's talking to you but not really listening, her eyes glaze over and she gets this faraway look. Or whenever she's about to kiss me, she cocks her head to pretend likes she's not. Don't tell her that I know that. She thinks I'm the least observant person on the face of the earth.

Interviewer: Interesting. Does she have any habits that really annoy you?

Percy: Is she ever going to hear this?

Interviewer: Of course not.

Percy: Honestly, no. She's not really the kind of person that has annoying habits.

Interviewer: What was your favorite quest that you have ever been on together?

Percy: I have to say, the first quest that we ever went on. Grover was there, and we had a deadline, but it was still really awesome.

Interviewer: Speaking of Grover, who are the people you confide in when you two have a fight?

Percy: The fights that we have usually aren't major enough that I'd have to "confide" in someone, plus I'm not really that kind of person. But if it ever does come to that, I suppose Grover. And my mom.

Interviewer: Does Annabeth still call you Seaweed Brain?

Percy: Every day. And every time I do something stupid. Which is every day.

Interviewer: Has Athena calmed down about you dating Annabeth?

Percy: Well, she hasn't murdered me in my sleep yet, if that's what you mean.

Interviewer: Speaking of which, have the gods intervened in your relationship much?

Percy: Aphrodite is in love with me for dating Annabeth. She still says we are the cutest couple since Helen and Paris, and she's always "inconspicuously" trying to get me to do "romantic" things for Annabeth.

Interviewer: Such as...

Percy: Taking her to Europe for a date, giving her orchids at dinner, wearing a suit every day. That sort of thing.

Interviewer: Do people treat you differently now that you're dating?

Percy: People have gotten used to it. At first, they were a little weird, but that's how it is in any relationship, I assume.

Interviewer: Do you ever see anyone as a threat to your relationship?

Percy: Like Jason? No, Annabeth goes for the tall, dark, and handsome types. Not the blonde surfer dudes or the scrawny death-breaths like Nico. No offense to him.

Interviewer: What's your favorite memory with Annabeth?

Percy: Our first kiss, obviously. The cake that she and Tyson made for me was awesome, and then it was great when she gave me the whole "I am never going to make it easy for you" speech. That's when I knew we were meant for each other.

Interviewer: What do you see in the future for you two?

Percy: Who knows? We might not live to see another tomorrow. All I know is that Annabeth is the one. No matter where life takes us, we will be together. And I, for one, am never letting go.
